Little bit of Red Neck in the veins
Since Bryce got laid off from his job (his company cut all sales/marketing from all their U.S. locations-with no warning) I started working full-time at Brevis and Bryce has become Dale-watching- home-maker-house-fixer-upper-man. Our income is now cut so we have found some great ways to save money... 1. Instead of recycling your plastic gallon milk cartons the "normal" way just cut the top off and use it as a trash can in your bathroom. 2. Go to Time-Share presentations (DO NOT BUY THE TIME-SHARE) and get the free gift towards free food. (For 1 1/2 hours of our time we got $70 to Cheesecake Factory. If we share an entree every time we can get 4 hearty meals for free!) P.S. call in your order and carry out so you don't have to tip :) 3. Donate plasma. We researched like 5 places in SLC and found one that gives $40 a pop!!! We have dubbed next week "Plasma Week". Bryce will give twice and I will give once for a grand total of $120! 4. Bike. I rode to work for the first time last week. As long as your co-workers can handle a little stink, go for it.

Don't forget that toilet paper divides in half so you can use half as much and you can also save money by going to the RC willy sale for free hot dogs and soda! Boo Yah!
You guys are truly practicing provident living - "eat it up, wear it out, make it do or do without." I think I have a song written about that - by either Judy Campbell or Janet Harris - when we lived in Pullman. Provident Living was the story of our lives back then. Anyway, you guys are a good job! Keep it up. Love, Mom
I am so glad to see that I am not the only one counting pennies. I think the house is amazing and I am really glad we were able to come visit and see all the hard work your family has been doing. I think Mike and I will look into the plasma thing. Mike's brother did it and made quite a bit of cash.
Wow, Mind- that was quite the journey through all those pics! I love the captions and and I love your garden- I am really jealous- but in a good way :) The floors look amazing and I can't wait to see the difference next week! But, I really can't wait to see you and the fam- love your guts!!!
I think that you two should send this story into the Church, Martha Stewart, and Home Depot, one of them would surely use it sometime. WE have you on the list of "people to visit" this week-we will call ahead to see if you are home. Know that we are proud to know you and be in the family with you-you are great examples! Love you tons, Richard and Morrena
Rock on!! We're totally with you on the $$ saving since we too are going from 2 incomes to living on a loan. YIKES! Hopefully 1 more income in a little while here though.
Too bad I can't donate plasma for another 4.5 months though...
Miss you babe! Thanks for the update!
Hi guys! Wow, looks like quite the project! I couldn't help but laugh, those were some awesome captions for those photos. We miss you guys up here!!!
Looks like you guys are keeping busy! The house looks good so far. I will definitely have to stop in next time we are traveling your way! (That is, if you don't mind:)
Hey Bryce, I just found your blog through Mitch's! Wow, so glad that I did. Looks like all is well for you and your family. I didn't know you were in Salt Lake, we'd love to have you and your family over for dinner and games one night. So good to track you down. Hope you don't mind if I keep track of you now because I'm going to.
