5 Year Anniversary in Hawaii

The first day we had on Kauai we took a helicopter tour.  AMAZING!

Napli Coast was breath-taking.  Seeing this place from so close and just above was a fantastic experience.  If you ever go, it is worth the money!

I was the front middle person in the helicopter & felt a wee bit motion sick so that was a bummer but not as much as a bummer as missing the Jurassic Park waterfall cause of high winds :(
Ke'e Beach just before we started our hike to Hanakapiai Falls
The start of the trail. . .

Views of the coast from the hiking trail were just unreal.  Our theme for the trip was "Pictures just can't do this justice!"

We had to cross the water quite a few times.  Thankfully I only fell and almost broke my elbow once.  And it was nice that I was still wet from swimming in the waterfall when I did.
Super cool bamboo groves along the way.
A scenic little waterfall not to far from the big one- 380 feet we were told.
It was FREEZING in the water under the falls but what a swim!  Backstroking out from behind the falls and feeling them hit your face as you look up almost 400 feet above you is a memorable experience to be sure!
We met some fellow-Utahns at the falls who took pictures for us while we were swimming in the falls (with their camera cause ours was out of reach) but I haven't transferred those pics from my email yet.  Yes, he actually sent them!  I love nice people :)

The beach.  This is the first 2 miles into the hike and the falls is 2 more.  We hiked round trip that day 8 miles.  Really not too long (we made great time in under 6 hours including stopping to whale watch and picnic & swim at the falls) but it was not an easy hike.  Lots of slippery muddy rocks and some real good uphill but worth every step!
This is the church we attended in Kapaa just north of where we were staying.  We should've taken more pics.  Really cool atrium-like building.
Luau @ Kilohana Plantation.  This is where we first got leid (how do you spell that kind???)  Yay!
The food looks so amazing in this picture but really is wasn't very good.  Even so, we ate about 3 plates full and made ourselves sick trying to get our $$ worth.  Once the entertainment started though we realized we only needed to eat like $30 worth instead of $90 cause the dancing was worth every penny!

2 of the main actor/dancers.  Incredible talent!!!  I have got to learn to hula!  And the fire dancers were especially unbelievable but I only have them on video.
