Part #1. Start at the bottom. So, it has been a process. From demolishing, to framing, to putting in new windows, insulating, electrical, duct work, etc.
And with Insulation.
Here is the basement all framed out.
The windows didn't quite fit at first so we had to grind the cement down a bit.
We Cut out our window wells to get some more light. (And to bring it up to code, of course)
Our neighbor was nice enough to help haul out the pile. Thanks Nate!
Eventually, the pile went to the ceiling.
As we started demolishing, we started stacking all the junk in a pile.
We tore out all the walls since none of them were even insulated!
We thought that we should leave the bathroom like this. It's more social this way.
Here we are after taking out all the walls. It's amazing how much space is down here. We had some fun on the Razor.
We took out the 16" hollow wall to open up our family room a bit.
It was sad to see this beautiful bathroom go. Don't worry though, we still have the toilet.
Here are some pics of the basement at the beginning of the Demolition. Love the Red Carpet on the stairs!
